Webinar Description

This webinar will provide an overview of the CBT and DBT techniques commonly used to treat anxiety- with play therapy adaptations so they can be used with young children. Techniques such as puppet work, cartooning, acting, and others will be demonstrated as adaptations of CBT and DBT. Brief treatment plans for specific anxiety presentations, including selective mutism, OCD, school refusal, and other anxious behaviors will be provided, along with appropriate play interventions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand basic Cbt/ DBT techniques used with anxiety in play therapy
  • Understand play techniques that incorporate these skills
  • Learn play therapy treatment plans for classic anxiety presentations in young children
