About the Presenter:
Dina Schwartz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY and a DBT-Linehan Board of Certificationâ„¢ (DBT-LBCâ„¢) certified therapist, who provides individual and family therapy, in addition to facilitating DBT skills groups. Dina specializes in the treatment of adolescents, adults, and families. Dina has extensive clinical experience treating PTSD, personality disorders, substance abuse, and mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, and treats suicidality. After receiving her Masters of Social Work from New York University, Dina was intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech, LLC. Dina offers DBT Skills Training to other mental health professionals to become proficient in the foundations of DBT.
Learning Objectives:
- Adopt and practice a dialectical worldview in treatment.
- Explain the biosocial model of BPD/pervasive emotion dysregulation.
- Incorporate DBT assumptions about clients & therapists into treatment.
- Apply DBT principles and strategies during DBT consultation team meetings
- Structure treatment according to the target hierarchies for each modality (e.g., individual, skills training, phone).
- Complete a DBT Case Formulation
