Webinar Description
In this workshop participants will have an opportunity to learn about neurodivergence and gain a better understanding of the multimodal approach and best practice standards for working with clients presenting with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, and learning disabilities throughout the lifespan. In the first section, the workshop will include a historical overview of the neurodivergence and explain diagnoses such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, and learning disabilities.
The second section of the workshop will pivot to an overview of the multimodal approach. This section will explore treatment options and collaborations between the mental health clinician (psychologist, social worker, mental health counselor) and colleagues at different points across the lifespan. A case study of a neurodivergent client will be provided and participants are afforded the opportunity to review the multimodal approach together and make treatment recommendations. The second section will conclude with an overview / review of the webinar and time for question and answers.
